This is an exceptionally well built and accurate Thunderbolt re-creation. It is built on a proper, original K code 1964 Ford Fairlane. This build included all of the features of the original Ford factory Thunderbolt race car. The car is finished in Wimbledon White with all of the correct decals and graphics. It has the proper fiberglass hood and fenders. The interior is exceptional and features Van Seats, One-piece heater block off plate, Quality disclaimer tag in the glove box, Correct instrumentation, Racing seat belts and correct location for the oversized battery in the trunk. The engine compartment is amazing. It features a period correct 427 center oiler V8 engine that has been completely rebuilt and specially prepared with the appropriate Holman and Moody upgrades. Some of the special features include: Ford dual point distributor, Ford high volume fuel pump, 2 Holley 600cfm carburetors, Crites aluminum radiator, stock cooling fan and ceramic coated headers. The engine is coupled to a 1964 Top Loader, close ratio transmission. It also has Ford 9" Trac Loc differential with 4.11 gears. Front disc brakes were added for safety as well.

This is a beautiful and highly authentic build of an iconic factory race car. Great attention to detail was applied in every area of construction and that is what makes this example one of the most accurate recreations built. This is an exceptional tribute to the record braking original from the Ford factory race team.
